Known as the Wilmington Blind-Thrust fault scientist have believed this fault to be dormant. But researchers have declared that this is active and can devastate Los Angeles.
The fault stretched from about 12.5 miles staring from Huntington Beach, exactly right under the Los Angeles/Long Beach harbors towards the east side of Palos Verdes Peninsula to Santa Monica Bay.
Franklin Wolfe, a doctoral student in the structural modeling and earth resources from Harvard declare the fault, "like a sleeping giant beneath the harbor."
